The Fifth Annual Millenium Music Conference will be held from February 15th to the 18th, 2001 at the Hilton Harrisburg and Towers on Market Square in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Central Pennsylvania’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Showcase and Symposium will feature three nights of showcase performances and two days of panels, workshops, clinics and trade show.

The goal of the 2001 conference is to provide the registrants with a forum to meet and learn from industry professionals that can further their music business careers. The 5th Annual conference will focus on the registrants interaction with panelists, speakers, exhibitors, musicians and professionals from all aspects of the music industry.


Individual Registrations
Register early for the Millenium Music Conference. Early registration for the President’s Day Weekend conference is only $55.00 if you register before October 23, 2000. Currently matriculated students and showcasing musicians can also register for $55.00. The conference is the most affordable and musician friendly event of its kind in the country. You, your band or music industry business need to be represented at this event. Networking at the Millenium Music Conference will provide you with the knowledge and the contacts to take your music business skills to the next level; but you must register to attend. Each registrant receives a listing in the conference directory, the Buzz Bag full of promotional items and a personal Millenium Music Conference laminate.
Your laminate guarantees full access to all panels, workshops, clinics, trade show, hospitality parties and showcases. The laminated access pass is also good for discounts from conference exhibitors, advertisers, sponsors and select downtown businesses. Plan to register early and save. Trade Show
Place your business in the high traffic heart of the Millenium Music Conference at this year’s trade show on the Hilton’s Music Conference Mezzanine. Maximum visibility for two full days with all the best and the latest, national and regional, products and services. Each trade show booth includes one eight-foot table, two full registrations and a listing in the conference directory for $500.00. Several prime placement booths are available for $750.00. Showcases
In 2000 the Millennium Music Conference hosted over 250 original acts and artists on 27 stages at Harrisburg area live music venues. Showcasing at this year’s event could be the most important performance of your career. Submissions for band and artist showcases will be accepted up until December 10, 2000. A completed application form, two black & white 8 x 10 pho-tos, a biography, a minimum original three-song demo on CD or cassette, a forty-word description for the showcase & night-club guide and a processing fee is required. Simply mail in the showcase application with the requirements before the deadline to be considered for a showcase performance. For more information call 717-221-1124.


Panels, Workshops and Clinics
The Millenium Music Conference will feature two afternoons of panels, workshops and clinics at the Hilton Harrisburg and Towers. Meet and learn from producers, managers, agents, promoters, talent buyers, publicists, studio engineers, indy and major label A&R executives, computer and internet pros, radio station programmers and promoters, lawyers, publishers, songwriters, recording artists, CD manufacturers and distributors from the national and regional music industry. The panels are designed for maximum participation with direct questions and answers. All of the panelists and speakers will be available for one-to-one contact with the addition of listening and mentoring sessions. Hotel Accommodations
The Millenium Music Conference will return to the prestigious Hilton Harrisburg and Towers. Every amenity imaginable is available at this luxurious property in the heart of historic Harrisburg. The Whitaker Center for the Arts & Sciences, Sunoco Performance Theatre, Whitaker Stage II and the specialty shops and casual eateries of Strawberry Square connect directly to the Hilton by way of enclosed arcades. The host hotel is within walking distance of all the inner-city showcase venues, restaurants, historic sites and the State Capitol complex. Each panelist and all registrants will receive a commemorative bag full of promotional items such as: CDs, tapes, photos, flyers, publications, bumper stickers and give-a-ways. Grab the attention of the attendees and the conference VIPs with your creative insert. It’s a perfect vehicle to promote your business, product, service or showcase performance. Directory Advertising
Advertising in the Millenium Music Conference directory not only gives you prime placement at Central PA’s most exciting music event, it works for you all year round as registrants use it as their guide to contacts in the regional music industry. Divided into discreet sections to facilitate use; it’s the perfect vehicle for catching the attention of people in the business who need to know who you are, what you do and how you can be reached. A full page B&W ad is only $750.00; half page ads are $425.00 and a quarter page ad is $250.00. Showcasing performers can still purchase one-eighth page ads for only $75.00. Compilation CD
Last year’s Millenium Music Conference CD featured 21 original compositions selected by the showcase music selection committee. The CD is distributed exclusively to conference attendess and a select group of record companies, radio stations and industry professionals. To be considered for inclusion on the CD, be sure to submit your showcase application early, and indicate the song to be reviewed.

Registration:
Full registration before October 25, 2000 - $55.00
Full registration before December 27, 2000 - $75.00
Full Registration before February 8, 2001 - $95.00
After February 8, 2001 and walk-up - $125.00
Showcase Applications:
Send a completed showcase application form postmarked by December 10, 2000. All showcase applications must include: two 8 x 10 B&W photos, a biography, an original three-song CD or cassette demo, a 40-word band description and a non-refundable $15.00 (processing fee) if post-marked by November 10, 2000.
